He's banned? That sucks. He should be unbanned, as he's pure entertainment for me. The admins here are trying to run a tight ship, but it sucks. They're killing the forums of a community based around a game that isn't even released. Fucking idiots, let us have our fun until the game is released. Then you should be able to go nazi on whomever you want.

I'm here occasionally for NS2 updates, and more often than not for the entertainment.

Maybe you should try and generate interesting conversation. No talk vs retarded arguments, neither are good but don't give kal the satisfaction with his already overinflated ego.

opinion? I don't care. on one hand, you can argue the strange theory that kal is somewhat of a pillar that keeps the community active (blows my mind).

on the other hand, you acknowledge the fact that kal broke explicit forum rules stated before his ban, has offended numerous community members with his stream of constant shit which annoys the fuck out of everyone often inciting back-and-forth flamewars on irc and the forums (often requiring closure in the form of admin intervention).

I say that i don't care because i don't know him well enough to firmly state i hate or like this individual.

it is far more plausible (and much easier on the imagination, because it doesn't have to stretch itself as far)
that the phenomenon/affliction/decline that's responsible for the decline in activity around these parts is time.

look at the title of our little community. AusNS2! this is a community brought back from the land of time decay to bring old and new folks together while we wait for our lord and savior, NS2!

unfortunately, once the rekindling of lost internet friendships and the reunions came to an end after AusNS2's initial establishment (or resurrection) we remembered what brought us together: the wait for NS2!

needless to say, it is understandable if many people these days would much prefer to go back to whatever they were doing. the NS in AusNS gave people a reason to interact with each other on IRC and the forums.

the NS2 in AusNS2 does not exist wholly yet - it is only a series of tidbits released occasionally to sate fans.

thus, activity on the forums now, for most users, consists of speculation, discussion of said tidbits, or merely activity for the sake of activity.

this accounts for the decline of forum chatter.
