well i'm still at uni, so i don't earn $40 an hour. It's still not that great of a wage though. $1600 a week ~ 80k per year. Certainly not bad, but nothing to brag about...
It's the highest tax bracket (till the government changes it, if the bill goes through).
Unless you're doing high level business/accounting or law at uni, you wont be earning more than $50k/year post grad.
I love the part where you have no idea what you're talking about.
(I made that much before studying)

you can also add med and engineering to that list
Most IT jobs also pay that much graduating year if you're any good at it.
indeed they do, in fact i would say most post grad jobs would be >50k, and most jobs full stop...
hell a forklift driver usually gets that.

You could probably make that at McDonalds..
yeah managers get awesome pay

All these years and you are still retarded.
I know multiple people under 25 in sales who have no degree and still pull down six figures.
All these years and you're still claiming you know stuff without any solid proof to back your word.
Forklift drivers can earn anywhere between $15/h to $50/h depending on where they work.
You're kidding if you think that post grad eng students (I'm talking flat degree here, no masters or honours or higher) will get above $50k. Why would anybody pay them that much when they don't know shit?
Reality: original topic was shit anyway, massive TL:DR.

Guessing thats $USD as well.
And where are you basing this they don't know shit stuff?
Radagast installs light switches and replaces light bulbs, it's complicated okay. The big money is there though because it is so complicated.

Fuck only getting $40 per hour if there is a risk of being electrocuted.

engineering has a much bigger growth to it as well.

Fuck only getting $40 per hour if there is a risk of being electrocuted.
You'd have to be a fairly stupid electrician to get electrocuted.
The formula is as follows:
When working, turn power off.
Might be a tad complex for you.

Look at how stupid you are.

This made me giggle. By the way, these arguments are awesome.

Thing is, he was pretty spot on. There is no risk if you follow the proper procedures.
Your links only prove my point, lol. So I was out by $5k, which is fuck all in the big picture.
Miffu there's a little more to being a sparky than that. But hey, I'm not complaining, it's an easy as fuck job and it has awesome pay rates (for the work we do). Plus if I chuck in overtime I get even more pay. I know blokes who took home over $100k last year as sparkies.

You seem to think people don't get pay rises in their jobs. I think for australia, most engineers payrates hit around 80k after 3 years of work. Thats just average rates, so takes into account all the people who don't take on any extra (managerial) responsibilities, so i would say drags it down.
And you still haven't explained what you meant by "don't know shit". I am fairly confident that even a graduate engineer, would know more than you 5-6years into your job. I mean fill us in on some of the complicated things you are doing.
Natural Selection 2

$55k a year straight out of uni is when they're still training you, sure beats any other apprentice wage. Once you've got a few years experience you get a job as an actual engineer and it sky rockets.
And yeah, the trend is to get a communications, economics, management sorta degree alongside and you'll earn twice as much after a few years experience.
Not to mention working for multibillion dollar companies can, especially if you elect to work on an oil rig or something, get your entire cost of living covered (separate from your wage) and have you paid to participate in compulsory recreational activities as part of your workday.
You can retire at 40 and be set for life.
Too bad studying eng is boring as all hell.

How many people on this forum do you think are going to work for multi billion dollar companies? lol...
Toofast: I said post grad. I also never said my job was difficult, in fact, I said it was easy, and we get paid a lot for doing very little. Yes, there are more intricate sections of my industry, but I'm just an apprentice so I do basic shit atm.
